| Snapped a few photos on the way out so I could remember the *ahem* AWESOMEness of our "Camp Cabin":
Note the duct tape holding the carpet down. The toilet seat was askew, there was no curtain in the bathroom (so I hung paper towels), there was a BF spider in the shower, and there was an assortment of other oddities, but really, for $55 a night, I'll go ahead and bring my own damn sheets and towels and enjoy my stay. We checked out and headed north up the Dragon, chased by Ric. One thing that would make that road even better would be signs that read, "Slower cars pull over here to let faster cars go!" with a big arrow pointing out every available place - too many people didn't have a clue! After stopping at our Waffle House for lunch, we parted ways with Ric and headed for Virginia. Bernie again regaled me with more scintillating tales while I worked on my Passenger's Tan to help match up with the Driver's Tan I've been working on. It was another beautiful day to top off a long weekend of perfect weather! Stopping at a Shoney's a couple hours from home for dinner, we had the hostess drop by our table after we'd been seated with, "Is that your Z out in the lot?" Bernie: "Uh, why, did you hit it?" Turns out the assistant manager owns one and wanted to come talk shop. He picked the right customer. ;-) An appropriate end to the trip. Much to my surprise, I didn't require any Dramamine out on those roads, and Bernie and Karl made sure with their company that I had just as good a time as if I had driven my own Z. Much thanks to all who made it happen - I'll see you next year! Bring on the Z32s!!!! =)
